The SportSchloss Velen is the ideal setting for events of all kinds. All 21conference rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and can cater for groups of 2 to 200 people. The facilities are equally suited to meeting and conference as to the staging of presentations and prestigious banquets. Since 1997 the SportSchloss has repeatedly been selected from over 2000 conference hotels as one of the very best in the "Tagungshotels zum Wohlfühlen" category.
In 2005 the SportSchloss Velen’s orangery was incorporated into the conference facilities. It comprises nine well equipped meeting and conference rooms as well as the large orangery room (over 150 m2) which has a wonderful baroque feel to it. The original stucco relief is just one of the features bestowing the orangery with the accolade of being one of Münsterland’s most prestigious historic buildings. Full restorations were undertaken in the 1980s.
