Today’s SportSchloss Velen is more likely a “festive house”, because it gives an extra shine to festive occasions. During Christmas Days it enchants his guests with exactly the full atmosphere who one wishes that it happens so often, however, which one finds so seldom during stress in our time. We would be happy to invite you also for Easter – for a spring-like, cheerful dawn of the bright and warm season.
The festive Orangery Palace room and the White Lounge (Saloon) in the historical Orangery Palace are the ideal setting for a private party, for example, to celebrate a birthday or a jubilee. These rooms also provide the appropriate setting for a company party. You like it a little bit rustic? The cosy vaulted cellar with open show kitchen and many comfortable sitting areas can be reserved exclusively and offers seats for up to 96 people. The hunting room with open chimney (maximum 20 people) and the forest warden’s (ranger’s) room (maximum 12 people) are likewise in the vaulted cellar and can be reserved in addition or separately.
Apart from the historical Orangery Palace, other rooms in the main building are available for you. The castle restaurant with Spanish leather murals from the 17th century offers elegance and comfort. The adjacent social rooms “Gemen” and “Wocklum” for 54, respectively 36 people offer you much space for your festivity.
