Fasanerie
The adjacent woods are perfect for a relaxing walk, a cycle ride, some power Nordic Walking or just the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful peace and quiet of the woods. In 2006 measures were taken to restore the grounds to their full glory of 1744: streams were relaid, the fishponds reinstated and bridges, walkways and the hunting lodge rebuilt. A total of 3000 groves were replanted with "historic" species and last but not least an avenue of 105 lime trees flanking the "Lange Kieke" were replanted.
The result is a wonderful leisure area of true cultural value that is open to all hotel guests.
Those coming in search of a bit of relaxation can enjoy our "Fasanerie" beer garden every Sunday in the summer from 11a.m.- 6 p.m. Where once pheasants were bred guests can now enjoy a cup of coffee and sumptuous piece of cake or a glass of freshly drawn beer and something delicious from the barbecue whilst they relax and unwind.
The Fasanerie is also available on other days for weddings, birthday parties, barbecues and festivities of all kinds.
