Guests have always been welcome at the castle Velen when it was not yet a hotel. For example, the Prussian Crown Prince and later king Frederick William IV stayed here in the 19th century. Today, you may feel yourself also a little bit royal in the rooms of the category “Castle Complex Premium”.
The double rooms of the category Premium measure between 22 and 34 square meters. They are situated as well as the single rooms of the same category which measure between 17 and 25 square meters in the main building and the two buildings in the adjoining annex buildings. The surrounding castle moat convey sheer romance.
The rooms are equipped with furniture in the Biedermeier, Milan or Italian Villa style. Facilities include telephone, desk, mini bar, safe, flat-screen television (76 television and 65 radio programs) as well as a bath room with shower or bath tub and toilet (WC). Of course, you will find an armchair or a couch and upon request you may reserve a room with air conditioning.
